Routine is the key to success; A solid routine rests at the heart of every success story. By taking an introspective look into your daily routine you are granted the ability to accurately gauge if you will reach the success which you crave. A routine must be crafted with only the utmost productive and valuable activities. I understand that many of you are not looking for the same level of world class success which I am; some of you wish simply to “make it”. Regardless, the tips and ideas provided in this article will benefit you all the same.
Maintaining a routine is only a chore until it becomes a habit. For the first few months you may need to deliberately follow said routine by forcing yourself to complete each task. However, this phase will pass and after a while your routine will be instilled as a habit which is completed each day without a second thought. Autonomy can be dangerous but as long as your routine is productive and positive you needn't worry.
I have created a framework which I look to for guidance through each day. I switch out the interchanged goals with whatever activity I have planned for that day of the week. This is a simple method I use to keep my routine fresh and well rounded.
There are many factors which go into creating a healthy routine. Your routine should include activities which foster your growth into the strongest version of yourself. Mental strength, spiritual strength, and physical strength are all areas which should be nurtured in your daily routine; Aim to a create balance between mind, body, and spirit. Also: simplicity is king when it comes to formulating your success routine; too much clutter will overwhelm you; eliminate the useless activities and leave only those which truly resonate with you. Over time the benefits of these activities will grow exponentially as they gain momentum.
Chances are you will occasionally stray from your routine, this is normal; However, straying too often can be a very serious danger to your success if it is not addressed property. The momentum you build up over time by following a routine will diminish each time you fail to follow said routine. Losing momentum is a very disheartening experience which will postpone your march towards success. Avoid this loss in momentum by deliberately following your routine whenever possible. If your routine is well designed it will carry you to the life of your dreams.
The morning section of your routine is the most important part of it in my opinion. The earlier you wake up the better. As you can gather from my schedule, I wake up at three thirty each morning in order to reap morning hours to their full potential. There is something magical about the time before the sun rises, there is a certain vibe of creativity present in the air that you can almost feel flowing into you with each drawn breath. Furthermore, I believe the morning is the optimal time for spiritual and creative practices. The first thirty minutes after you awake are particularly important in determining the outcome of your entire day. The mindset you create when you wake up is generally the mindset you will carry with yourself throughout the day. And as we all know, your thoughts shape your reality. Therefore if you are polluting your thoughts with pessimistic junk inspired by a half par morning you are not doing yourself or your chances of success any favors.
