Hello young Traceur or Tracuette I am here to welcome you into the divine world of Parkour. Today we will be discussing what you can expect from your stay here and what you can do to get the most out of it. Read on and you will find all you need to know for getting started in our discipline. This article is swarming with many simple yet powerful ideas. In truth Ideas can take you far, your mind has the power to bend your reality if you choose to believe in it.
The world of Parkour is brimming with opportunity and it’s all accessible to you as long as you know what you’re are doing. The real secret is aligning your training with your goals. If you ask Parkour for a favor, it will comply. If your goal is to make a career from this discipline you better be out there everyday training your ass off. However if you would rather keep Parkour as a hobby feel free to train as little as once or twice a week. Luckily there is no rush in deciding what you want from our art form, it will always be here waiting for you. If nothing else, Parkour offers an enjoyable way to get into shape. Your current physical condition does not matter the least bit as long as you are willing to make the sacrifices in order to obtain what you want.
Parkour will strain your creativity in ways you never thought possible. Your creative skills may be weak right now but similar to muscles they will grow with time and proper use. Another important factor in Parkour is your mindset as a Traceur. With a proper mind set you will be led to wonderful people whom you will form strong bonds with. Parkour live is a great application for connecting with these wonderful individuals. At first you may feel outcasted due to your relatively low skill level but do not be deterred for with time comes skill and confidence. As a great man once said “Parkour is truly a long term discipline” This is especially true if you plan on attaining a high skill level.
If you are looking into Parkour for a quick adrenaline fix, you might as well look else where. Traceurs are generally calm during training and have a cat like calmness emanating from them in order to complete every jump with grace and precision. Parkour holds many opportunities for you to take advantage of. Eventually you will reach a level where Parkour has the potential of becoming your career; But until then it’s loads of training with little pay off, this is where persistence comes into play. Without the will to grind, you will surely quit just short of attaining your goal. For others Parkour is simply a form of relief which eliminates stress and other unwanted emotions. Be wary though, Parkour has the potential to create negative emotions such as arrogance if the user is not properly in control of themselves. This arrogance will often result in injuries and in some case fatalities. Be sure to avoid any of these egotistical Traceurs as described here.
One of the mentalities that shines through the whole parkour community is humility; Nearly every Traceur you meet will be glowing with this wonderful trait that makes life a whole lot easier. With humility you will silence your ego and allow happiness to fill your life. Another trait that is in surplus throughout the Parkour community is a love for hard work. How else are you going to gain the technicality that is required to perform moves such as the Kong Gainer? There is no secret to gaining these revered skills, simply go out and train every day; Regardless of equipment, location, or weather. Without a doubt everything you do today will dramatically affect your tomorrow. In other words: don't put off what you could do today for tomorrow. This moment is all you have control over after all, the past and future are illusory and you are simply part of the collective whole.
Congratulations my friend you are now on the fast track to becoming the next big name in the Parkour world. You will fair well as long as you follow your heart; Remember, mindset is key in this game and a dubious mindset will undoubtedly lead to dubious results so be sure to stay positive. I wish you the best of luck in your exploration of our fine community, hopefully we will be seeing more of you my friend. It has been a pleasure talking to you today.
