Creativity is not something that can be taught due to the fact that it is already inherent in every human on earth. In other words: you don’t have to look for it, it’s already there just waiting to be taken advantage of. Today I will teach you how to tap into this deep creative force. There are many guides out there on how to do this so I will make this one a little bit different by writing from the heart in contrast to copying what’s already out there.

For a majority of Traceurs summer is the season of choice due to the bodacious dry surfaces which are sublime for sticking large jumps. These students of movement go about on their merry way training their hearts out and progressing at astounding speeds. Then without warning winter swings around and brings the good ole’ frozen water with it; At this point many Traceurs revert to the life of simple indoor conditioning, oblivious to what they are missing. The froth of snow that cakes the world around you is not detrimental and today I will show you why.

-Herophilus Today I will teach you how to get the most out of the body you have been blessed with. As the aforementioned quote states, you must have a healthy body if you expect to reap the full benefits of the seed you sow through your labors. I have already covered the conditioning aspect of health in a previous article, for that reason I will be focusing only on the dietary dimension this time around. Having trouble breaking a large jump or landing a new trick? The issue may lie deeper than just your technique. Many times we can trace the inability to execute a move to the Traceur’s fitness level. Most Traceurs are very fit, this is common knowledge; But too many traceurs neglect essential conditioning for our discipline. Today I will be revealing many of the conditioning techniques which I believe every serious Traceur should perform in order to temper our bodies into the ultimate movement machine.
Let’s take a trip back to the nineteenth century, the thought of being able to see in the dark is absurd. However, Just a few decades later in 1939 the first night vision device was used in the German army. This night vision allowed the soldiers to see things that normal people couldn’t. Now allow me to draw a parallel between this night vision technology and a Traceur’s Parkour Vision. The Traceur’s Parkour Vision is similar to the night vision in the sense that it allows the Traceur to see things normal people can’t. Traceur’s can conjure up routes through any environment using little more than their brains. Today we will be discussing Parkour vision; I will be explaining what it is, how to use it, different styles of it, and how to develop it. Thanks to Spencer Lindquist for requesting this article.
